Director: Sherri Fair Assistant: Montana Steele
This program is for young children who have not yet started attending school, and leads them in a fun time of exploration. The class will be held both outdoors and indoors, with structured activities and time for free play.
Returning as our Nursery Director is Sherri Fair, a qualified child caregiver who creates a fun and safe environment for our youngest campers. Sherri is the Childcare Supervisor at the First Unitarian Church of Oklahoma City, and this is her second year as the Nursery Director for SWUUSI. She will be assisted by Montana Steele, a Young Adult from Dallas, Texas. Montana is a religious studies major at Southwestern University and has hopes of entering the UU ministry. She is an experienced caregiver as well, and both of our Nursery staff are CPR and infant first-aid certified.

Returning for her third year as Primary Camp Director, Terry Ward will “keep it real” with a curriculum designed to teach young children the ways in which Unitarian Universalists have changed the world. The children will spend a lot of time outdoors at the Nature Center as well as have various hikes throughout the week. Terry's Assistant, Maggie Smith, will be returning for her second year at SWUUSI. Certified in early childhood education, Maggie brings a knack for story-telling to the classroom as she delights the children with tales of the REAL magic of Unitarian Universalism – the ability to create opportunities for love and justice in the world.
Third through Sixth Grades: Hogwarts

Hogwarts will return this year, complete with Houses and Honeydukes! Join our new Director Joy Berry and Assistant Director Starr Austin from the UU Church of Fayetteville. Joy is the DRE and Starr is the RE Assistant for the UU Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and both are ready to run the best Hogwarts camp ever! Which house will you be in this year? Only the sorting hat knows!

Director Ryan Hoffland and Assistant Director Alex Smith, both from Northwoods UU Church in The Woodlands, Texas, will be “Keepin' It Real” this year as Youth will continue to build a UU identity through service, leadership, learning, and worship. In addition to learning about Unitarian Universalism through our covenant with one another, our service to each other and our communities, and worship as a shared experience, the Youth will learn about those who have led Unitarian, Universalist, and Unitarian Universalist lives and how those stories can be an inspiration to us.
