THE ANNUAL
SWUUC Congregational Awards
For Excellence!
Does a congregation you know well excel in aspects of, and innovation in, congregational life and programming? Aspects such as:
- Excellence in Stewardship
- Sustained record of increasingly successful generosity for the congregation;
- Reaching fair compensation (including benefits) for staff;
- Innovative, successful stewardship/capital campaign drives.
- Excellence in Social Action / Outreach to the Community
- Percentage of church budget devoted to social action and/or outreach over several years;
- Sustained record of significant community project(s) supported by the congregation.
- Excellence in Growing the Faith
- Sustained growth in membership over a 5 year period;
- Establishment of successful satellite or "daughter" church;
- Sustained growth in RE through innovative programming or registration;
- Development of, or a sustained, strong Young Adult ministry;
- Development of, or a sustained, Campus Ministry program
Congregations can be self-nominated,
nominated by a person outside the congregation, or
nominated by another congregation
Deadline for applications is March 23, 2012

ADVISOR OF THE YEAR
If you know of a wonderful advisor in your congregation, please nominate that person today for the SWUUC advisor of the Year Award. Nominations for 2010-2011 are due by March 15, 2012. Nomination instructions.
RELIGIOUS PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR
The Rev. Norma Veridan Memorial Award is given to a religious education professional who has demonstrated unique and outstanding service to the district. Click here if you would like to nominate yourself, a colleague, your DRE or another religious professional in the Southwestern Conference by March 15, 2012.
In order to recognize contributions of service to the SW UU Conference, a variety of awards are given. Each recipient is presented with a certificate detailing their contributions, and a plaque which can be displayed in their church for a year. After that, the placque is returned so it can be passed on the the next recipient.
The President's Award is given for outstanding service to the district.
