Under policy governance, the Board sets policies and the District Executive sets policies. To read the Board policies click here.
The SWUUC Board meets 4 times a year: before the Annual Meeting at the District Spring Conference (the last weekend of April), one weekend in early June, before SWUUSI, and before the SWUUC Fall Leadership Conference (the second weekend in November). For dates of our upcoming meetings, click here.
We do alot of work on behalf of the SWUUC congregations at our meetings. If you'd like to keep abreast of that work, click here for our minutes.
One of the ways the District Executive and the Board communicate and conduct business under policy governance is through monitoring reports. You may read those here.
While most of the old committees of the board have now become committees of the District Executive, there are still a few committees of the SWUUC Board including the Endowment Committee and YAC. Occasionally the Board will establish a task force to look at an issue or perform a specific task. Descriptions and reports for these may be found here.
